God could not be everywhere, therefore He created Mothers.*
A Mother is the very essence of life and like always, this year too, N.L.K’s Little Steps planned to salute mothers in a unique way.
All the mothers of Kindergarten were invited to participate in a special celebratory event that included fun for them in the categories like Dance, Singing, Poetry Recitation, Quiz game, Chits game, Ramp walk, etc.

Say No Polythene
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a Swachh Bharat Mission led by the government of India to make India a clean India.
This campaign was launched officially by the government of India on 145th birthday anniversary of the great person, Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October , 2014. It is a most important topic which our kids and students must know and be aware of this mission.
To make the children aware about this abhiyaan, our students went to Kamla Nehru Park in their neighbourhood to clean it up and took a pledge to took a pledge to gift a plant on each other’s birthday.
Some students performed a Nukkad Natak based on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan & the title of the play was “SAY NO TO POLYTHENE”. Students sang and acted to self-created music thus spreading an effective message to use paper bags instead of polythene to clean our environment..
Some students wrote slogans on “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” in Hindi & English in their classes for creating awareness in school campus & for their parents.

The Investiture Ceremony of N.L.K’s Little Steps School for the academic session 2018-2019 was held with great pomp and dignity in a special ceremony at the school Hall….The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that the child centric approach will frame a responsible citizen.

Pre-school Finger Painting Activity
Our preschoolers are having a blast finger-painting with a mix of colors.
Little kids are masters of the moment — they love the way it feels when they smear paint on paper, how it looks when they sprinkle glitter, and even the soft sound a brush makes as it crosses the page .
Unlike older kids and adults, most toddlers and preschoolers aren’t self-conscious about what they’re doing or focused on creating a finished product. But letting go — and allowing kids to enjoy the process of creation — can reap big rewards.
Fostering creativity won’t just increase your child’s chances of becoming the next Picasso. You’re also helping him develop mentally, socially, and emotionally .
It’s the Process, Not the Product.
As kids manipulate a paintbrush, their fine motor skills improve. And children who feel able to experiment and to make mistakes feel free to invent new ways of thinking, which extends well beyond the classroom……
Do u know…what is a twin bin system..?
Its a system in which two bins are used one of green color and other of blue color. Biodegradable waste are dumped in green bin whereas non-biodegradable waste are dumped in blue bin. It makes it easier for people to separate the two waste and to make them recycle.
Children of grade 5 were made aware about this system… and they made green & blue dustbins during the activity periods….
What on earth are we doing to our Earth ???
The Earth has fever ….due to Global Warming !
And it requires no pills and medicines to make our Blue Planet hale n hearty again….
Just a drive to plant trees…. Fight against pollution…… Creating Awareness amongst the gen next…..
Reduce , Reuse , Recycle…..
We organised a series of Activities during the past fortnight to create an awareness in the minds of our kids……to reduce the Carbon Footprints.

The participants narrated the stories in a very impressive way by using actions and props……
