One Nation Reading Together :- (29-11-2017)
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.*
Celebrating the pleasure of reading through One Nation Reading Together.
As we all know, Reading is a starting step of many things. Whereas the habit of reading is an another way of exposing ourselves to new things in our life.
Today our school took an initiative for reading where from children to teachers and teachers to fourth class staff all of us took out half an hour of time from our busy schedule and read our form of interest in school at any place of our comfort.
At the end, a reflection was shared on *graffiti wall* and the outcome was unexpected. As an institution, it was heartening then to see that for half an hour today, everyone sat down to dedicatedly READ.
Here are some inspiring shots from the day. Do browse through these to see what the face of an involved reader looks like, and how easily it can inspire you!
Hindi Debate : -(11/11/17)
Hindi debate competition started with a brainstorming session just to make them prepare to be the best. They were told that why we had the debates, how to have debate and its various forms. Hindi debate was held for grade school students where Grade 1 to 3 had open debate in their classes and Grade 4 & 5 had a proper competition organized at terrace area between them. Students prepared their topics themselves and were awarded with the certificates by the Principal.
The primary goal of a debate is to generate effective critical thinking into primary issues for the given topic.
Through active participation in the debate activity, students compared and discriminated between the ideas and issues, and also verified the value of evidence for the concept, resolve controversies, and recognize strengths and weaknesses of the arguments.
Janamashtami :- (12/8/17)
Be fearless and pure; never waver in your determination or your dedication to the spiritual life. Give freely. Be self-controlled, sincere, truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve. Learn to be detached and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry or harm any living creature, but be compassionate and gentle; show good will to all. Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity; avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny.
